Hello,
I have a few hub pages that have been transferred from Squidoo. There were already ads on those pages (from when it was on Squidoo), and I don't know if those sections should now be removed.
Through the HubPages Earnings Program, I've recently signed up for the Ad Program and Amazon program and got an affiliate code for each - though I'm not sure what to even do with the codes.
Do I need to remove all those older ad sections/capsules and replace them now that the articles are on Hub Pages? What do I do with the affiliate codes that were generated through the Earnings Program? Are any of the ads self-generated?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thank you.
A
The HP Ads and the Adsense ads are generated by HP when a hub is created / edited, passes the QAP, and is featured. You do not need to do anything with the affiliate codes with creating Amazon or Ebay capsules or the self generated HP Ads or Adsense ads.
Regarding the older ads when it goes through the QAP it will look for a minimum of 100 words related to the ad for Amazon or Ebay capsules in the article. A rule of thumb is no more than two of those capsules per article.
Others no much more of how to use those than I do. Otherwise I hope that helps.
Nothing from Squidoo is good for HP. You didn't say, but you have to have Google Adsense before you can earn from HP Earnings programs which includes their Amazon program. You can always use your own Amazon Associate Account.

Thank you for the quick reply. I do already have a Google Adsense (have had it long before I was even on Squidoo). So, I need to remove all previous capsules - I understand that, but how do I incorporate the affiliate codes that were generated from the Earnings Programs?
Everything is in the Learning Center in How to make money on Hub Pages.
You go to my earnings, click on settings, and then click on configure button for each program and put in your affiliate code.
If you are going to use HP AMazon program, click on configure button, answer questions, HP gives you the code for HP program.

I'm trying to sign up for the earnings programs and can't because I don't have a Google AdSense account. I applied for one a few days ago but was rejected due to "insufficient content". (My account has 106 hubs, some of which do look sparse after the import.)While I'm...

Do they just appear like google adsense? or you have to manually do the pasting of html in your hubs?(I think there is no html available in hubs)2. I...

In the past I relied solely on Adsense to earn income from Hubpages, however this year I was able to finally open a PayPal account, so I signed up for the Hubpages Ad program. As expected, I saw a drop in my Adsense earnings, but now it's practically non-existent. I was earning a couple dollars...

When I signed up for HubPages, things were done differently. I may have signed up with an amazon ID, that is now defunct. I am wondering now, if the new way references the ID I signed up with; unfortunately I can see no way to check. Can someone provide me insight on this please?
