If I set up a second HP account, do I need a second PayPal account? I know I need a second email address for HP and can use my existing AdSense code. (At least I understand I can.) Thanks for your help.
You can use the same Paypal for 2 HubPages accounts. I'm not sure why you would need 2 though since everything is published on the main Hubpages.com domain.
Two very different topics for the Hubs. Thanks for your response.
You're welcome. You do understand that you will have to reach the $50 threshold in each account to get a payout, right?
It is completely up to you, but I am not sure that having different topics in one account make a big difference anymore, if they ever did. I write about a variety of topics on my account.
I see your point. I'll have to think further about the idea. Cheers
When we had our own sub-domains there was some point in specialising. Google used to regard our sub-domains as separate websites, and it's well known that to be successful, a website needs to specialise.
Now that we don't have sub-domains, our accounts are really just an administrative convenience for us. Virtually the only people who see our profiles are other members of HubPages - who are writers, not readers. Ninety per cent of readers arrive from a search engine direct to one of your Hubs, read the Hub and then IF they stay on HubPages at all, they are far more likely to click on one of the "related Hubs" than to visit your profile.
So I would agree with Millionaire Tips that separating your Hubs on separate profiles is unnecessary and will just make it harder to achieve payout for no real benefit.
Thank you, Marisa, for your input. You and Millionaire Tips have tipped the scales for me. I'll stay with one account. It is the logical choice.

A pretty obvious question, really. Is it allowed? If yes, is there anything I need to consider before going ahead?

Which Hub accounts are the best? Those with one subject or those with a variety of topics?I was just wondering if it would be better to focus on one subject or to write about a lot of different topics. Does it make a difference to Google if our hub domains aren't devoted to one specific niche?

Hi.I'm new here, and wondering how writers approach having Hubs on different topics. For example, I've been a journalist or worked in related fields for more than 30 years, and covered a wide range of articles during that time. I do, however, have a couple of areas that I prefer to focus...

I am new here but am challenging myself to write 7 hubs in 7 days on 7 different topics. I am hoping to broaden my writing skills, keep things interesting and force myself to write out of my comfort zone.Anyone wish to join me??
