Brett Favre-Should he Return or stay Retired?

   Brett Favre is still in talks and trying to decide if he will play the Minnesota Vikings.
   I say it is time to go! Brett has become a distraction. He is a legend and WILL be in the Hall of Fame. Don't stay too long and ruin your name.
   
   What is your take on this?

      Someone has already posted this forum, but anyway, I agree with you. He needs to stay retired. It's not like he's going to get any better.

      Brett needs to stay gone. As much as the sports world lets him get away with going and coming back, he isn't even the greatest quarterback. He has more turnovers than touchdown passes. lol. Its not fair for him to hold the sport of football hostage because he can't make his mind up. He should step out of the way and let the new guys take care of things.

      After the collapse of the Jets last season his name is somewhat marred
      
      I think it would be great to see him compete against his former team
      
      If he is able to compete at a high level I think he should return
      
      But if he is unable to it is time to call it quits

   I don't want him here. I don't want to see my beloved Vikings get Favre.  He is injured, which is my first reason for not wanting him and personally, I just don't like the guy.

   Its getting to the point where it doesn't matter what kind of quarterback he is....you just can't believe what he says anymore.  I know its hard to leave something that you love, but I am sure that a team could find room for him in the front office or in scouting or coaching, but all his waffling is making him lose credibility.  Maybe he should run for office?

   Brett Favre has "once again" claimed to be retired!!!
   Hopefully this time it sticks. Minnesota needs to concentrate on the 2 QB's they have in camp.

   Brett Favre is the Ross Perot of the NFL.  At the end of every year, he proclaims "This is it!  I'm through!"  And then a month later he rumbles about how he "Wants to compete" and that he's not ready to accept the fact that he's retiring because he loves the game too much.
   
   What he might do is skip training camp and then right before the season begins, he'll say he made a mistake and that he "wants to compete."  The thing is, some team will always need a Brett Favre for their team in their desperation.  Just watch as a team that loses their top rated quarterback during the season will have Favre on speed dial. 
   
   He'll play again, the question is when he'll play not if he'll play...

   I think it's sad, he needs to stay retired, he is hurting his creditablity and all that he has built.  My opinion, he needs to stay retired and move on...be thankful and move on

   it's the need to be competitive.  he thirsts for more.  there's nothing wrong with this.  even at his age, he's still one of the top 3 qb's in the game.  no one's complaining about what lance just accomplished, even if he didn't win #8.
