   Well one of things that will automatically happen as content is transferred to HP's new niche sites is any collateral traffic that you have gained in the past through general visitors to the HP site will now be on a completely different site - and hence will completely disappear.
   
   Hence ALL hubs remaining on the core site will see their traffic reduce commensurate with the extent to which they attracted the attention of general visitors to HP
   
   Of course if most of your traffic was coming direct to your hub driven by your own marketing on other sites coupled with longstanding ratings for a hub in Google then you shouldn't notice much of a difference.

         I haven't got a clue - not having any hubs on the niche sites.
         
         However if the niche traffic is included in your stats then it really isn't a SEPARATE niche site is it?
         
         There's one thing that Google hates more than article sites - and that's a URL which indicates it's one thing when actually it's another.

            Articles are listed on the stats page but separated by URL so that you can check them individually or jointly.  The niche sites are indeed individual websites, only the "paperwork" is joined.  There's a difference or HP would not be handling it this way.

               Sounds just like a sub-domain to me - with a separate domain mask.
               
               Let's face it, no matter what the paperwork says it's only separate "for real"  if Google think it is separate.

                  Well, so far the uptick in overall views seems to indicate they agree the niche sites are separate.  If they change their minds, the team can always permanently separate them down the road, but I'm betting they looked into this before setting things up this way.

                     There again when you put content which is similar on a site and exclude everything else - particularly the names of sites Google does not like - you ALWAYS get an upturn in traffic.
                     
                     That doesn't mean to say Google likes article sites more than it has in the past. The new niche sites will stand or fall by the content and the calibre of the writers - and whether or not Google works out what HubPages has done

                        Theoretically the content should be the best possible since articles are being individually vetted as they come in.  The rest?  Who knows??

         Yes, it's listed as the name of the site.  So instead of hubpages.com it would say dengarden.com...or whatever site you're hubs are currently on.

   Yep. Numbers are in the pooper this weekend for me too. (shrugs) @#$% it. I can't even be bothered to get angry about it anymore. It's a lovely day outside and I have beer to drink.
