Although most people know LeBron James as arguably the NBA's most polarizing and elite player of his generation, but recently he's been known for his humanitarian activities and speeches as well.  Since the police brutality in this country has been on the rise lately, LeBron has become something of a modern day Muhammad Ali so to speak to where not only has he spoken out against police brutality, racism, bigotry and etc many many times, but he's also become quite the philanthropist as well.  Donating money to various causes and charities that help benefit the African American community within the US.  In fact, he's spent millions of dollars of his own money each year funding scholarships for children growing up in Akron, Ohio.

Needless to say, LeBron hasn't been too shy when speaking his mind about politics, or current events.  And it's a well known fact that many of today's NBA players look up to LeBron for leadership, and many will often follow his lead, which might spell doom for you Trump supporters out there.

Apparently, LeBron James has given his endorsement to Hilary Clinton, which could be very damaging to Donald Trump, who's already having trouble appealing to the minorities in America as it is.  LeBron James is arguably the biggest icon in all of sports, and if he's saying vote for Hilary instead of Trump, then that's going to hurt him even more because who else are you going to get to endorse Trump that has that same level of cache that he does?

Tom Brady?  Pffft.  Please.  Tom Brady is arguably the best quarterback of all time in the NFL.  No doubt, but Tom Brady ain't anywhere near LeBron's level in terms of being a global icon.  So who else?  Michael Jordan?  Michael Jordan doesn't like speaking publicly about what his opinions are on current events.  Granted, he did say recently that the police violence needs to stop, but that was about it, and it took him DECADES for him to even say that much, so I doubt seriously he'll want to get involved in this.

The point is this could hurt Trump in the long run if LeBron is now against him, but what are your thoughts?  Do you think LeBron's endorsement is going to be a damaging blow to Trump's campaign?  Or do you see this as a minor pothole at best?   Please discuss.

I haven't noticed he has reached Ali status but I'll keep my ears open.

Well the thing is if you watch him during interviews, he's been very vocal about police brutality, bigotry and racism to the point that he's literally become one of America's biggest social activists and philanthropists, with his charitable contributions and speaking out against various social issues.  In fact, when the former Clippers' owner, Donald Sterling, was caught saying racist things on tape, LeBron was actually one of the first NBA players to speak out about how he didn't belong in the NBA for what he said.

Plus, he's already considered the best NBA player of today's era by most people, and he even said recently that not only does he plan to catch up to Michael Jordan, but he says he wants to....SURPASS him as the greatest basketball player of all time.  And even though I don't like LeBron as a player because I think he's too arrogant for his own good....I think he will.  Seriously after seeing him lead his team to a title last year, I'm convinced that he will eventually surpass Michael Jordan, as being the best nba player of all time.

Let's face it.  LeBron James is a huge role model to a lot of kids throughout America.  hell even most of the nba players admit that they look up to him for leadership, so if he says something, then it carries a lot of weight.  That's why he's this generation's Muhammad Ali.  He's not only  a great athlete at what he does, and he's winning, but he's also using the huge spotlight that's always cast on him to speak out on issues, where others would be too scared to say anything at all.  (i.e. Michael Jordan and etc).
