Is the payment threshold for Adsense $100?

Sorry if this is dumb, but all this time I thought I had to reach $10 in Adsense to start receiving payments. But is it $100? I find the site frustrating to navigate, and I hoped someone here could explain it better.

If it is $100, then once I go over that threshold, will I start getting regular payments, no matter the amount?

It is  $100. and you will get payment a month after you reach the threshold. Same thing after you reach $100 again. and again.

The good thing is, that the intervals generally get closer together with every payout.

When you get to the point of making $100 or more every month, you will get paid every month.

You get paid ever time you reach the threshold. Once paid your unpaid money went to zero. You have to start earn again for getting new payments.

Yes the threshold is $100 for cheque payment.

I believe that bank transfer is $25.

$10 is the point that you are asked to provide your payment details.

No you do not get paid no matter how much. Once you get paid $25, you have to earn another $25 before getting paid again.

Hmm-- mine is a bank transfer and it is $100 (or more) each time I reach the level.

Ok sorry, am I perhaps getting confused with eBay or Kontera?

I set my threshold to $1000 almost immediately after joining Amazon, due to it costing me $20 to cash an American cheque at a UK bank.

I also figured that it would give me a nice figure to shoot for, I am well over half way now big_smile

I should reach it by Xmas, I hope anyway...

Didn't realise they charge a whopping $20 to pay us our check of just $100.

Different banks vary, but the cheapest is £9 I think.... hence the reason I am waiting to hit $1000.... to make it cost effective...

Amazon don't charge you, your bank will.

Yes, you're getting confused with the others!  Adsense threshold has always been $100 US.  In Australia it's $150 Australian - which made sense when the Aussie dollar was worth so much less than the US one, but now means we have to jump a higher hurdle sad

Doesn't worry me these days as I always earn more than that each month, but it was darned annoying when I didn't!

    In most cases Yes.

There is a threshhold function on your adsense account that you can adjust. There is a $100 minimum for them to generate payment. If the threshold is not reached, it accumulates towards next months payout and so forth until it is reached. It then goes into an automated system for payment unless you change the threshold.

Basically verification means you've reached a level at which they think you're going somewhere so they send you a piece of paper with a secret pin to verify your address.

For Adsense it also depends on your country and the currency you have your account set up in. If you're in the US, and I think Canada, it is set at $100. For me in Australia the minimum for payout is $150. I think I saw someone mention that when set to Euros it is around 60 Eruo.

I wish Amazon would change their mode of payment as well. A cheque from Amazon costs me $10 in AUD to cash, and it takes three weeks to clear. I once asked the bank if they were sending it via carrier pigeon! Needless to say, I have my minimum payment set higher (currently $250, but I'll be moving it to $500 soon, as my earnings are increasing).

If you follow the link above this post, it has a complete listing of what countries have what payment limits.

I don't need to. I already know the minimum in my currency (which I believe is the same as yours). But I'm sure it was useful for the person who started the thread.
