Hi Hubbers,
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my Hub A Guide to Starting a Business and Setting up your Own Company (must be signed in to view). What can I do to improve? Thanks!
Hi there,
A couple of things:
Consider putting your sub-headings into title case. Not a requirement, just looks better.
"moving from freelancing to the business world, or you just want to secure a company name", really should be 'moving from a sole proprietorship' or 'moving from being a sole proprietor'. Not everyone who works for themselves can be described as a freelancer.
"Companies House is the government body..." It's a single entity despite having a plural sounding name. So 'all paperwork must go through it'. It's a single building; I've been in it
"Company and Directors'" note the position of the apostrophe at the end of Directors'.
Although you haven't linked to it, it's pretty obvious you have written this to promote your own business, so you might have trouble getting this approved. You could help it along by keeping your company information in your profile/About the Author.
You should include how to do those things under 'What information is needed?' If your article is going to help me, then I need to know how and where to obtain a SIC code and how to check if my desired company name is available. Making it look over-complicated and withholding information in order to guide someone, however gently, toward choosing your business is somewhat devious My friend set up a limited company pretty quickly and easily, without anyone's help.
You can link to an approved list of SIC codes, and do mention that people can choose up to four codes to describe their business.
You can also link to the Companies House where they have a straightforward company name check: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/comp … ailability
Remove the ratings capsule - that's for recipes.
Hope that helps.
Dear

Dear
@theraggededge,
Thanks for spending so much time on evaluating my article and i really feel that the points you have mentioned might be helpful for getting this article approved. I have re-submitted the article and hopeful of getting it done.
Thanks Again.
Vincent Jones
Okay, no problem.
Additional issues are that there a few grammatical errors. Try pasting the text into grammarly, or read it out loud. You might spot them then.
I also suggest you remove your full address from your profile. Not a good idea to display it to the world
It's a good reiteration for establishing a new business.
It looks promotional. Maybe that's what stopped it.
I hope you have used images with cco (creative common license).
You need to include UK in your title. As it stands, the title promises general information on starting a company. Visitors coming to your Hub via search engines from the US, Canada, Australia, Outer Mongolia, etc. etc. will realise they've wasted their time because it's not what the title promised. The article isn't providing general information on starting a company, it's providing specific information on starting a company in the UK, which is obviously not what they're looking for.
Google and other search engines soon see that the majority of your visitors are not happy with your article as they only stay a few seconds and go out by the same door they came in (the BACK button). UK visitors will stay longer as the Hub seems well written, informative and relevant to them - but they're in the minority. Search engines will assess your Hub as low quality based on overall visitor behaviour and ensure it never gets near top spot for any search query. This also reflects badly on HubPages, which is why they take steps to avoid Google's wrath by not featuring the Hub.
If you include UK in the title, those from other countries won't come, meaning most of your traffic will be from the UK and will stay and read the article - not leave immediately while cursing you, HubPages and whichever search engine brought them here for wasting their time. You will have less traffic to begin with but it will be good traffic - the kind that Google rewards not punishes.
