   It have also been described as the final frontier.
   Did You Know?
   80% of Americans today who started from scratch and become successful sis so through network marketing?
   Do you know you don't need formal education to succeed in this business
   Do You know that you can become extremely successful within a year if you can humble yourself to acquire little knowledge of what this 21st century business is?

   Yes. Any system which involves recruiting other people who can then recruit others below them, is a pyramid scheme.  All pyramid schemes are a scam

      Please how do you define what is "scam".
      Can scam make people successful? But around the world today, thousands of educated an non educated are becoming successful through network marketing. So how is it a scam?

         One method is to prey on young, inexperienced couples that are in need of money.  More experienced people simply laugh at the idea, but the young are much more gullible.  Just like internet scammers often target the elderly, it is the young that get targeted here.
         
         Another is to insinuate that all it takes is work, while never, ever allowing the statistics on success to be mentioned.  Were potential "associates" told just how tiny a portion of people become self sufficient through MLM schemes no one would ever join.

   So, HubPages is a scam by using recruiting profit sharing.  Some of us supposedly earn a percentage of those we recruited.

   Unlike pyramid schemes, no one joins HubPages expecting to make money by recruiting others - the amount paid is minute and not enough to even worry about.

   Hi Marisa, thanks again for letting us know your feelings about network marketing.
   
   Tritrain have just given you the same point I should have.
   Did you know that Hub pages is also using network (team) marketing?
   Do you not realized that all of us who are putting down our articles in hubpges are the team or network?
   
   The in for mating we are putting Herr is the marketing. the more propel that visit your article the more income.
   The percentage you earn here is due to people you recruit to visit your articles.
   So I think you need more understanding of the different ways network marketing works.
   And hub pages also have refferal link. More people you reffer more income

      Yes, HubPages has a referral link.  However, income from referrals is only a TINY part of your income
      
      If you tried to make money from referrals here, you will fail.   Referral income is a bonus.  99% of your income comes from your own writing.
      
      If you can honestly say to me that your network marketing scheme works like that - i.e. you make over 90% of your money by selling the products yourself, and only a tiny amount from your downline - then that is not a pyramid scheme.
      
      If, on the other hand, the business is based on making most of your profits from your downline - then it's a scam.

   A man can dream can't he?  Ironically, most of my referrals are from many years ago and there a lot of hubs.  I just don't earn any money at all from it.

      You may notice that although HubPages hasn't discontinued the referral program, its use isn't advertised.  We used to be able to insert referral links in our Hubs, but not now (any existing referral links in Hubs no longer work).  Also they don't work for the niche sites.

   Hi Marisa, I had the same misunderstanding about network marketing business like you do now.
   I was thinking its a pyramid until I get to look into it clearly.
   Actually there are organisations that use pyramid type of network. But network marketing is different. It is a real TEAM work business. It is a real business like franchise but yet network marketing is better than franchise.
   You earn residual income for your hard effort of helping a people. But some companies like mine, you are not there to benefit from the hard effort of those you refer, no. Overtaking is allowed.
   Unlike pyramid where you are always bellow your sponsor, in network marketing you can buid your business and grow more than your referral.
   You will understand network marketing when you understand the power of Network or Team, or mastermind group.
