Just checking but is there any rule against adding a Patreon link on your Hub profile?
Anyone using Patreon in their hubs and how so?
I was thinking it would be great if we could add it, because most readers don't go looking for the bio on the profile page. But it would probably end up removed by an editor as 'irrelevant'. Obviously it would be a nuisance if hubbers abused it, but it could be helpful to content creators to be able to just stick it once in a line at the bottom at the end of the article or something.
It would be cool if they let us add a link at the end, or if they even gave us an option with a Patreon button or allow us to link it in our author bio or something.
Thoughts? )
This kind of link is not permitted on articles.
I figured, sad though. Would be cool if we could just have a little button. )
Thanks Christy. I was looking for an answer to this as well.
I would love to have a Patreon link, but I doubt that would ever happen since it takes traffic away from the site.
The way I have mine set up, I have everything centered there and use Facebook to promote it. So I'll post an HP article there and then share it to Facebook. I've picked up a number of people that way. Occasionally, I'll share HP articles directly to Facebook as well.
Hi Urbane; I do the same with my own website, the website is my home base, I have back links with my social media, hubpages, youtube, book, etc. it's all inter-linked, and my new Patreon account is advertised on there now. Mainly I started Patreon for YouTube but it occurred to me it would be awesome if we could use it on HP.

I am a new Hubber and have been going at it for just a few weeks. I've got 9 articles up but don't seem to be drawing any traffic. What advice can you more seasoned HubPage pros offer a newbie?

How do you share another hubbers article?

I've had links to my own related hubs snipped on several occasions (mostly blatant lists at the end of a hub), but some links have been left in place after several snips. So is it acceptable to include a link to a hub which may be very relevant to the specific content in a section of a hub, if it...

I noticed what appears to be an automatically generated link in one of my Pethelpful articles. I didn't add it, and I can't get rid of it. I can't even see it in edit mode. Even if I delete the word, it just adds a new link at the next instance of that word.It links out to another Pethelful article...
