   We should think how to alleviate the ramifications of our atrocious acts. Acts which made the hole in the ozone layer over the Antarctica, this hole permits UV rays to melt the ice glaciers resulting in floods and hurricanes (UV rays are also harmful for us, as these rays lead to skin cancer). Acts which result in the increment of global warming, deforestation, extinction of the flora and fauna, imbalance in nature. We discovered many theories to explore and ventures into the deep space but discovering new theories, developing new technologies, at the cost of our future generation is not wisdom. Substantial development is the key to prohibit catastrophe in the future. To prohibit this deterioration; Save water, flora and fauna, plant as many trees as you can and whatever you can do at your end. If you apply these small steps in your daily activities, your future generation will thank to you. I appreciate those who are working diligently to save this blue planet from drowning into the sea of darkness.

      If you really wish to save the planet, kill off half the human population and (somehow) require the rest to live as cave dwellers.  We are grossly overpopulated and cannot sustain the rate we use natural resources including other life forms.  Until we stop using those resources (including energy) we will continue to change the planet.
      
      Of course, that is the way of nature, and we ARE natural beings.  To use resources until starvation and/or disease forces it to change.

         Too many people? Did you realize you could take all the people of the earth, put them in family units of 4, give each a 2000 square foot one story house and still be able to fit them all in the state of Texas? With a little room left to spare.
         
         Not that anyone would do that and not to say it wouldn't be rather tight but, just saying.

               Just because a certain number of people can physically fit into a certain amount of space doesn't mean that they can live sustainably in that space. Each person requires acres and acres of farm land to keep them fed over their life-time, not even to mention the amount of energy resources that people, especially those in first-world countries, consume. Yes, the planet can cope with the needs of today's population fairly well, but if the population keeps growing at the rate it already is then we're basically screwed within the next 50-100 years.

                  Yes, it can cope with the needs of homo sapiens.  What it cannot do is cope with the wants of homo sapiens coupled with the needs of other plant and animal life at the same time.

      According to NASA, the ozone hole is recovering and is the smallest since 1988. Google it.

         Thank you. I was going to add that little fact but you beat me to it.  It's so sad that this theory is still being promoted.  If people understood that the earth has been changing since it was created, just as it was designed to, they could better understand what is happening in the world of science. Tracking historical mistakes in science is an interesting exercise, showing us just how easily people make declarations based on unproved theory about the past as well as the future.  Of course we should be good stewards of this earth we've been given, but fear mongering because of rejection of what its Creator says is such a sad state of affairs.

            Thanks for enlightening me. I really appreciate it. But, my concern is not only about the ozone hole but also about the deterioration of the natural resources on a larger scale which must be ended.

   Scientists are now admitting that there are volcanoes (91) beneath Antarctica. The glacier melting is from geothermal sources?  In July a new large iceberg was born when an ice shelf broke off, and it is one of the largest we have.  The size of Delaware.

   Trees, flora and fauna are good. We must have 100 trees in the yard and are surrounded by thick forests.

   Decades back scientist came up with ozone depletion now they are back with Ozone self repair theory. The Globalwarming keeps fading cuz it makes coal and fossil fuels leass relevant and pisses the stakeholders.
   Even if we were to ignore these consequences of human consumption how will be negate weapon testing, atomic explosions, CERN or HAARP experiments, weather modification and blah blah blah...
   Lets just enjoy the slow devastation before a hollywood sci-fi flick.. like calamity comes knocking. Even nature is tired of sending reminders and we are anyways way too overstaffed!!!
