Hi aka-dj For me Christianity is supposed to be the practice of living Christlikeness out in my daily walk with Him. Religion more tends to the set rules we refer to as denominations. Christ didn't practice religion He practiced love and obediance to God. Religion in and of itself is not wrong as long as you don't confuse religion and let it deter you from a relationship with God.Be blessed and have a great walk.

Religion and everything associated with the practices thereof, is man's efforts to reach God. Going through the motions of attending church, giving offerings, repetitous prayers, ceremonies, doing good works, etc. True Christianity is God reaching out to man, providing salvation through the death, burial and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour. True Christianity is Bible based and Christ centered teaching. Over the years many have proclaimed to be Christians but not fully understood what it means. So then Christianity has become a catch all phrase and classified as a religion when in reality it's not.

Easy answer Religion sucks, Christianity doesnt.

Religion is a set of rules to follow "Thou shalt and Thou shalt not.

The word Christianity, has been adopted by religious groups to make themselves look good. They try and cause people to Follow Jesus Christ like they follow Buddha, Shiva, Krishna, Mohammud, etc and follow is the problem with religion, Followers. The word Christian only appears 3 times and it was invented by non believers in identifying the disciples for preaching about Christ therefore Christian is a label placed on BELIEVERS in Jesus Christ, not followers.

Christianity in the true sense is not about belivers in Christ following Jesus Christ, but Jesus Christ coming and living inside believers giving belivers his Godly authority over the world, thereby making believers GODLY.

Ac:11:26: And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
Ac:26:28: Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
1Pe:4:16: Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

This is like asking what's the difference between lies and The Truth.

All religions are man made at the behest of the Devil, including the Christian Religion.

Following The Lord Jesus Christ is not religion and He did not come to this earth in order to start a religion.

The Christian Religion was founded in the first century by men like Simon Magus who wanted to buy the Holy Spirit from Peter. A statue of Simon Magus now sits in the VatiCain in Rome.

Christianity is being like Jesus; showing people love, respect, giving them a shoulder to cry on, praying with them, and helping each other. Religion is just what you believe.

Christianity is a way of life.  God made us and Christianity is how God wants us to live.   Christianity is not a Religion.
