   Ive had my belly button pierced twice already, the first time it got super infected and the...
   
   second time it ejected itself through my skin, the piercer said they could re-pierce it, but i don't want to do it again if its just going to get infected again, i followed all the step and cleaned and didn't touch it or anything...is there something i can do to avoid getting it infected.... i know this is probably a stupid question, but id rather be safe than sorry

   Infections are due to two things: improper sterile piercing techniques or bad aftercare. 
   
   But if your second piercing rejected, I'd really recommend that you don't get it re-pierced, as that's a big sign that your body doesn't want a piercing there.

   Usually infections are due to either bad piercing techniques that introduce bacteria into the wound (yep a piercing is a wound no matter where you get it) or bad after care. However, there are some people who have sensitivities to metal and get infections from the metals in their skin. With body piercings the chances of this being the problem increases. If this is the case you can't use inexpensive stainless steel jewelry or even titanium plated. You will need to find (and it isn't easy) solid titanium jewelry. You will pay more and it will be harder to find, but in the end your results will be much better and you are much less likely to get an infection from a reaction to the metal.

   sounds like you need to take a bit more care.... ive had more than one belly ring piercing. 1st time i just had to take it out as a school rule (went to bording school). anyway, make salin solution... salt and water - use that to clean it atleast twice a day. & dont feel sorry for youself-it has to heal. i find using spirit doesnt help because it makes the wound bigger-so i would rather use liquid detol as a 3rd clean before bed as a disinfectant. keep the area dry...meaning after you shower...dub it with cotton wool/ ear buds till theres no water. and give it a twist after / as you clean every time. trust me it will be well, as long as the piercing is also done at a reputable parlor with sterile instruments. best wishes miss:- )

   I agree with previous answers about the metal allergy...it sounds like that is a possibility since you have taken care of yourself.  I have had my navel pierced before and loved it now I am 32 and a mom and wish that I would not have done it.  I think that if you are intent on the piercing then you should maybe speak with your doctor (about the allergy issue) and definitely make sure the place that is doing the piercing is clean and sterile!!! Good luck with whatever you decide

   It sounds like you either have a metal allergy or, sometimes, it is just your body rejecting the piercing. In my experience, it does happen that the body can just reject it.

   Do not get it done again because obviously you body is rejecting the piercing. And also the piercing isn't worth it, because the infection can spread through out your blood stream. But if you do get it done again there are many ways to keep it from being infected; use saline solution, anti-bactirial soup, alcohol (piercing artists will suggest you not use this, but if its infected it will dry the area and will clean the bactria off), use warm water/seasalt solution to clean the area.

   If nnot an exotic dancer, why are you subjecting yourself to 'infection' and 'pain'.   If you don't have a real reason for a 'second belly button' piercing'.  Its time to 'look' at what you are doing to yourself.  Harmful to your health!
