Well, I was investigating Analytics, and I am finding that a huge percentage of my visitors are only there from 1-10 seconds. Should I be offended? Should I change my keywords? Am I doing something wrong here?
You're getting visitors, so the keywords are getting people to your hub.
If they're leaving after a few seconds, you need to look at your content.
2 options that spring to mind are that either the content is not relevant to the keywords, or the content is not interesting enough for them to read.
Or maybe your hubs are very short, or they can read really really fast.
Ouch. I guess these were some options that I didn't want to consider, but they were nagging at me...
Time to go back to editing, and maybe back to the Extreme Hub Makeover..
I've had a look at a couple of your hubs, and they are interesting, and relevant to the keywords and titles.
So I think I was wrong with my kneejerk reaction.
Some of the other suggestions are possible.
Stumblers and reddit users have notoriously short attention spans.
Most of my Hubs have youtube videos embedded.
Or maybe they click on the video, leave your site, and go to YouTube.
Most of the traffic I find that only lasts 1-10 seconds are bookmarked visitors who have come from sites like stumble upon or Reddit. Idk if you have many of your hubs bookmarked that way or other may have bookmarked them.
Some are coming from those sites, but nowhere near the amount of 10 second page views. Oh well, maybe I guess I should look at it as income is income?
Would it be correct if we add youtube content that does not belong to us ?
You embed Youtube clips, not copy them. So the link always leads back to Youtube and the original owner gets the credit - therefore it's OK.
The bounce rate of my hubs averages out to about 80%. I think I explained the reason for this in one of my former hub pages, essentially if your traffic is coming from search engines it's going to be difficult to please 100% of the visitors because each one of them is going to have different search queries. The upside is that many people who 'bounce' without 10 seconds will actually bounce to your AdSense ads, so even if they don't read the hub you may still benefit.
