Is it true that your hub score decreases If you follow another hubber who has less hub score?

No, that doesn't make any difference, I don't believe.

    Good Day ss sneh,

I have noticed this undercurrent of midl to moderate concern over hub score, hub status, and the like. I'm sure you're not proposing to stop following a hubber, that you admire, just because he or she has a lower hub score than you? I think its extemely unlikely that your hub value, if we want to put it that way, would be judged by the "company you keep," as it were.

It is my understanding that a hubber is judged by the quality of his hub pages and the frequency and quality of his participation in the discussion forums. Why be concerned with an "inferior" hubber "dragging you down?"

My advice is to take it light, ss sneh. Yes, we are interacting with real people and there is real money to be made, of course. But to a certain extent, this, the Internet, is still "virtual" reality.

Also, I suspect that one doesn't want to get the reputation for being, in some way, opportunistic. I'm afraid that by posing the very question you have, you may give some people the very wrong (and I know its a wrong idea - you have an honest face) that you intend to take an unprincipled, opportunistic tact, rather than engage in this online community with integrity and conviction.

But don't worry. I for one, know that's not the case. Although I've never met you before, like I said, you got an honest face.

    Take care, ss sneh!

Following bad users has the potential to hurt you since HubScore is partly about trust.  HubScore flows from your content to your interactions and back and forth.  So, a good user that follows someone with a lower score (not a zero score) is likely to help them a bit as an example.

Actually, I don't quite agree with it.
Your hub value, the frequency of your participation in hub communities count a lot in terms of hug values.

I don't think so and why should it? One is free to follow any hubber. Also the hubscore of every hubber goes up and down on a daily basis if not more, mine varies between 3-5 points.
Your score may be up today but down tomorrow compared to the same hubber.
As long as the hubber score is 75 and above it's ok and I believe as per hubpages too.
