I also have really dry hair - mine is also curly.   I have found that  the most important thing is not to put shampoo on it.  I simply wash mine with plain water and then I use lots of conditioner.    I finish with either some wax which I mix in my hand with a little hot water or a glossing product.   Works for me!

Use the conditioner as your shampoo and wash your hair with it.  If you use any chemicals on your hair, make sure your scalp is protected and don't over process.

I am a guy and I shave my head bald so I'm not sure how qualified I am to answer this..

I remember as a kid my mom and her friends having little get together's once a month to take turns  massaging mayo in each others hair.

I know it sounds gross but these girls would swear buy it.

Drink a lot of water. It is good for everything.
Once or twice a week, massage your scalp and hair with virgin coconut oil and let it on for at least one hour, better all night long.
Let your hair dry naturally in the fresh air and don´t use hair blowers.
If you use shampoo, try to find the most natural one. Dilute it with water and only shampoo once, don´t repeat.
It wouldn´t hurt to take a natural vitamin supplement.
