As 99% of television is rubbish, don't worry about it, just don't subscribe, there are a zillion better things to do than watch the one eyed monster.  If consumers vote with their wallets, the price will come down.

For years we have been building up to this problem. That is we have allowed the cable tv companies to increase our rates almost without restriction.
we do have one very important tool that we can use, and that is the power of saying no.
The cable companies pay for the rights to broadcast the shows that we all enjoy. They then pass these charges onto the customers. The networks that are putting these charges onto the cable companies are collecting money from the advertising that they air and from the cable companies. They set the charges and appear to control the whole system.
The cable companies have the power to say no to the rate increases for the shows and opt not to air them. This would cause an uproar with some of the consumers who enjoy these shows.
We as the consumer seem to have no other choice other than to pay these increases or to go back to the old antenna system of our parents.
Or we can join together in a protest fashion, much like the generation of the 60's, and make a stand.
Simply by making a single phone call, in a unite manner, we can voice our concerns and contempt with the overcharging that has been going on for decades now.
What do you think the reaction of the cable companies would be if 10,000 or more subscribers from 1 area decide to call and cancel the service, all at 1 time. Would the message get through? What if 20,00 or more did the same thing?
We can send a simple message in a profound way without the marches posters or demonstrations of the 60's.
We must start taking charge of our own situation and make a united stand. Together we can take back some control over our lives.
Let me know what you think. I can use all the help i can get, as do we all, to make it through this economic disaster that we are all in now.
ONE STEP AT A TIME ONE CAUSE AT A TIME
