   With the middle class eroding, the crumbling Empire of the United States will undergo significant changes in the upcoming future.
   The United States economy will never recover (not to the level as it had been a decade ago - that is ancient history). Major investors have already shifted their assets to South-East Asia (manufacturing has already been there for quite a while now) and China is litterally just waiting for the right moment to pull the plug on the United States and then, its place as the greatest and only super-power in the world will be secured. For now Americans are still buying their goods at Wallmart so China will milk the last few dollars out of their pockets.
   The majority of people in the United States will experience great poverty and famine will spread. I do not want to seem apocalyptical, this is the course of events though. That is the real reason why phone tapping in the United States is used justas much as it is in China. The government is afraid of the upcoming uprising - the Patriot Act was put in place for this reason.
   Defletion will continue and the depriciation of the American dollar as well. There are no remedies for this, the system is broken and in its last days vultures are skirmishing with the carcass. The bankers are finished with it and are full, soon there will be nothing left but bones. Life goes on ...
   Remains to be seen about civil war ... depends how soon the army will change sides.

   The views are getting so polarized in the U.S. that it almost seems to be ungovernable in the traditional sense which may lead to a political civil war.

    The Civil War in America in some ways has never ended. Many assume that we fought the Civil War over the issue of slavery but that is only partly true.  The war was actually fought over the issue of States Rights with slavery being the driving force in the argument.  The real question came down to "does a state have the right to secede?"  We settled the issue of slavery but the issue of States Rights has never been totally resolved as we see from the current debacle going on in Arizona...States Rights the issue, illegal immigration the driver.  If we are to enter civil war, then we must have a deep and unresolvable division between two distinct factions.  At present, we have the Federal Government and the next best candidate for the other faction being Arizona and those who side with Arizona.  Again, to get there we would have to see the issue rise to the basis of sucession and have enough opposition on either side to ignite the fight...which I doubt will ever happen.  WB

    A new Civil War would be a Class War ignited by the nation-wide realization that the Wealthy (ruling) Class has manipulated the system to ensure their comfortable existence while they created and promoted an unsustainable economic house of mirrors that benefits no one but them.
    While the American dream dies they will be living globally and visiting their estates in the Third World Country previously known as the United States. You can be their pool boy.
    Buy your guns and ammo now from private sources that don't have to keep records or register serial numbers with the government.
    And take a course in Mandarin.

    Are you saying a new American civil war, or another country's civil war?  If it's ours there are a whole lot of issues to examine, as it would be with another country's.
