    Give a baby some other things to pick in hands, like there are too many toys that are made of soft rubber for children to play with or to put in mouth.....so from this things..mostly children leave thumb sucking habit.

    Put a bit of mustard on their thumb. I've never had this problem myself but apparently it works a treat! You could try something a bit less harsh, though, perhaps just something that doesn't taste very nice.

    First of  all always keep an eye on her/him and keep saying to remove.

    # Use hand glove
    # Add mustard or coconut oil.
    # Cover thumb with cloth.

    Last notice at which time he suck thumb too much ... may be he/she is hungry. So simply feed him/her.

    you can put neembu oil or neembu leefs paste in his finger, so that it will be bitter to suck so she/he won't do again. My Daughter had that habbit, I used to put cloth covering and all she somehow know to remove it and suck, now its ok

    I have heard of putting on mittens at night. Or putting what ever kind of food they hate the most on it..... Never tried, but I heard that it works,,,,
