You know, I tell people here pretty often to 'write what you know or want to know more about', but I've been a hypocrite. There are tons of things in my household that have been problems that I've desperately wanted to know more about that I have BEEN researching...
Man, I have a million new topics to write about (well maybe 3).
Nothing wrong with that. About half of my hubs are things I didn't know anything about until I did the research.
Knowing what we do not know, and writing what we know makes the hub interesting to readers.
Well get busy then writing about your dust bunnies, or where the shiit comes from. How 'bout writing on why my house has spooks?
It happens to me too - sometimes the obvious is staring me right in the face yet I don't see it
Writing about what you know is good advice, but I like to mix it up more than that. I like to write about what I know, what I don't know, what I need to know, what I'd like to know etc. This keeps me from getting bored.
If you've already researched something then yes - definitely write about it. You're already half done!

I want to write a lot of hubs (compared to what I wrote last year) this year. But the main hurdle is that I feel like I ran out of ideas or cannot create good ideas for new hubs.I come with some ideas, but they end up being too general or not good for online search. I try to think of more specific...

The Medium platform sounds great. Writers' income does not come from advertising (yay!) but from a chunk of the membership fees. But here is the catch: As a non paid up member you are only allowed to read three articles per month for free. After that, if you are interested in a topic and want...

Well, I've done a fair amount of research on my own, not necessarily understanding all of it, and I've read several articles by fellow hubbers that explain things more simply, still requiring me to bookmark the hub for future reference, as I cannot retain it all in one reading. There seems to be a...

What is more fun? Writing dozens of articles for a niche or writing all sorts of articles from holidays to teeth whitening? And leave aside the fun, what about the money - which has more potential? What would you rather do as a writer on HP - niche writing or free lancing?

This was a nice experiment, but I've ultimately concluded that this site blows. The two competing interests are making money and writing quality articles. Mind you, I've written a handful of stellar hubs, yet I haven't a penny to show for it. Sure, I have about 100 or so impressions on AdSense, but...

Ok, here goes. I rarely get involved in the forums, I guess I am a little on the shy side. I have been here almost 2 years now and have published over 80 hubs. I have only had 2 ever unfeatured and have deleted those and a couple more that I thought just were not up to par. My...
