I have been a member of Hub Pages for nearly 1 year yet earned nothing at all?

What could be the reason? Is it that my hubs are not intresting enough or are my account settings wrong?

Proff ... you've only got six hubs. You're going to need more than that. Also you need to write about subjects that people are looking for on google. Do a little research on your subjects before publishing your hubs. Also, check that your writing is keyword rich and that the SEO has been done. There may well be blogs and sites about similar things with better keywording, check them out, look at the terms they use.

    Good luck!

In addition to the above 2 answers, I add the following -

    1) Try to follow more hubbers and some of them will follow you, of which some of them read your hubs.

    2)  Write more hubs with SEO titles.

    3) Go and read other's hubs and leave a comment there. Through that more people will find you and read your hubs and if they find interesting they will click.

    4) Try to participate in the forums and try to answer the questions, spend few minutes daily for this. This way more people will find you.

I hope these tips will be helpful.

Hub Pages are not all you need fella and it certainly is not all you should do when and if you are social bookmarking!
You are active in a niche that pays out billions yearly and the competition is huge however, competition is also good. It makes you work harder to get where you need to be.
I don't want to go into a huge discussion now about SEO, on page, off page etc. etc. Or tell you on the quick, how many effective methods you can incorperate to promote your products, but if you hit me up on Skype when you have time we can talk about it. I will not try to sell you buddy!
My Skype name is g.hadley and you will find me in the UK.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought!

Put two or more heads together that think along the same lines, both heads profit from it!

The thing you need to make money on hubpages (and generally in online publishing) is knowledge of SEO.

There are two things of equal importance in that field:

    1) keyword research
    2) link building

However, you should also not underestimate the power of
    3) volume

Keyword research is what the title optimization tool in hubpages is for. It will help you get the right words in your title, so that search engines are more likely to rank it.
Link building is making sure that Google knows about your hub, and takes it seriously. The easiest method of link building, the absolute basics, is through smart tagging. See my hub about how to optimize how you dance on hubpages here:
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Hubpages-traffic-SEO

Volume: as Tom already said, it takes more than 6 hubs to make a decent amount of money. Start answering questions by making hubs about them. Interlink related hubs of yours. Use the 'groups' feature. Find a niche and elaborate on it.

Making money online is just like any other business: it takes work, skill and perseverance. The skill can be acquired, the rest is just rinse and repeat.

Oh - and as to submitting your URL to Google, it's totally unnecessary. One of the advantages of hubpages as a platform is that it's very good at showing new hubs to search engines. The result is that it's very unlikely Google doesn't know about them. The problem is: it doesn't take them seriously.
