   Is It just me or does everyone have a hard time getting feedback?
   
   I have written on a variety of subjects, in different catagories, and I get very little feedback.  I get comments some times, but those silly little things like "useful, Awesome" etc are scarce. Is there some way to encourage them?

   I too don't get as much feedback as I would like to, but I think one has to write more and participate in the forums or use different techniques to boost traffic. Also, a writer makes himself visible by reading other people's articles and leaving comments, but only to share his opinion with others (and not just to get feedback).

   We are all so wrapped up in our own writing that we do not take the time to give feedback to others. That and when we do we dole it out cautiously.  I try to be good and comment on subject matter, and give feedback when I feel warranted.

   Well, I do make comments and give feedback, and I do hub hop and read other writers almost every day.  And I go to the forum and answer some questions from other writers when I have information to share.  And maybe you are right, I need reinforcement and reassurance that I am doing this thing right.  So I will focus on being a good member of the community and not worry so much about the feedback.

   . . . . .Bond with your readers more.  Leave comments saying "I voted this beautiful," or "awesome," etc; but only say that if you did, and don't do it if you didn't think something was beautiful or awesome.

   I know what you mean, Beege215e. However, I came over here from "Blogger," where I got absolutely NO feedback whatever. HubPages is far superior in the structural sense; still, of course, like you, I would like even more feedback and even challenge, more engagement.
   
   Perhaps it just takes time. Though I've been here eight months, perhaps I, like you, need to give it more time. But I know it is frustrating -- its like you're talking to yourself. I am quite jealous of those hubbers who seem to attract dozens of comments for everything they put out...
   
   Oh well, I just want to say I know what you mean. I agree with the advice that everyone, here, has given, and when I'm done I shall vote each of their responses up.
   
   Keep a stiff upper lip, mate!!

   In order for you to get feedback, give feedback also to your followers, be more active with the topic,
   give it a try and lets see if it work...i usually try to read my followers hubs, and see if they submitt any recent hubs, and i give them some feedback to let them know that i am still here.....

    With me, the build up of feedback has been slow and steady.  I've now been into Hubpages for 15 months and have placed 166 Hubs.   I expect I've answered around 200 questions, though it shows only 100 I think, the next 'accolade' coming in at 500 (big jump!  Probably too big)
    
    Anyway, I understand the problem.  If you really did stop to read every person who comes back to you's Hubs, you wouldn't have time to scratch yourself.   Still, I think myself lucky that nearly every time I log on and go to my email there's nearly always one or two notifications from Hubbers getting back to me.
    
    As I said, it builds up steadily.  Give it time.   You're onto one of the best communities of bloggers (Hubbers) I've encountered.   Just hang in there, mate.

    Most of writing / blogging sites thrive by the formula "I will scratch your back and you scratch mine in return" , unless you are a really good writer.
