   Can a green salad, fruit and vegetables kill you
   
   A friend of mine was told by her doctor that eating green salad, fruit and vegetables in the evening is not healthy because  the food stay too long in the body (the stomach works in the evening very slowly), generate poisons and  that terminate the  liver?!!!

   I don't know about fruits and salad's being lethal in the evening. But it is true that evening meals should be light and healthy

   Your body's metabolism DOES work slower during evening. Fruit and vegetables, however, are easily digested since they have less calories and carbohydrates. In fact, professional athletes are advised to eat fruit or vegetables late if they get hungry.
   
   As far as the stomach acids are concerned, even gas might cause serious problem. Time is not a factor in this case. The body cannot separate acids that will dissolve your organs. If such thing was true you would have to have gone to the WC straight after you ate an apple, for example.
   
   Bizzare cases do happen. If a guy can die while watching Avatar, I wouldn't be surprised at anything.
   
   Don't think that just because someone has a "Dr" assigned to their names they know everything.

   That is a ridiculous thing for a doctor to tell anyone. There is absolutely no truth to this. I'm in shock!

   This doesn't sound like good general advice.  Most people could benefit from eating more fresh foods, not less.
   But a normally healthy food could be dangerous to a particular person (like nut allergies, or gluten for those with celiac's disease). 
   Is it possible that your friend had an unusual condition that would affect her body's ability to process raw food, make a normally healthy diet, dangerous in her case? 
   
   I knew someone who was not supposed to eat several kinds of raw food while undergoing chemotherapy.
