Does it strike a nerve when you hear of an overnight success story?
Sometimes it does. But I do try to learn from it. And I also realize that an "overnight" success was usually preceded years of failures and set-backs.
Only when its not mine to tell, because I'm sure, that I already thought of whatever it is they did and didn't do it!!
It only strikes a nerve because I realize that these overnight success stories are probably lie. It is the same thing that strikes a nerve when I read a product review and then when I get the product it is obviously a lie. These people are paid to write these so other people can get their hopes up. Unnfortunately, on the internet it is hard to tell between scam and truth. If it is a true overnight success story, I will admit to being a bit jealous. But most just seem to be stories. I think that is why we need a sarcastic font... that way people could tell the difference!
I am on a mission to try and get it to work for me - so that I can become an overnight success to see whether it is possible or all make believe. I think it could make a really useful Hub -
http://alaxia.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-M … mpic-Style
- part of my plan is to get as many followers as possible and for as many people as possible to comment on my hub. We are told so many times that this is the way to do it that I want to prove is disprove whether it is possible or whether it is just a game of chance.....
