There are about 10 million species of animals, noah's ark?
using about 2ft. average for space, noah's ark would have to had been at least 20million square ft. then take into account the fecies and urine, is it really possible for the ark to have ever existed.this doesn't include fish .never mind the structure itself, i'm talking floor space and it was made from wood.
Maybe it was a space ship Ark.
Aliens saving the animals because they didn't have a government shutdown that would close the zoo called earth.
Maybe there were much less animal species at the time??
Oh, wouldn't that mean that new species had "evolved" since...
Maybe it is just a tale;)
Above a certain size a ship made of wood cannot even support its own weight - if it straddled two waves it would break-apart at the middle.
Christians do not seem to have a problem with this fact. There again the Babylonians didn't either. It was from their legends (which pre-date the Bible by about 1500 years) about a character called Gilgamesh that the scribes who wrote the Bible (around 500 BC) nicked the story of Noah's Flood anyway.
This is a simple matter of faith.
Either you are willing to believe that with Gods assistance it happened.
Or you don't believe it happened.
Actually, your question does seem to include the fish. Once you've eliminated bacteria, insects, and fish, the number come down to only about 5,000 species. Full scale replicas have been built using wood and they work quite nicely thank you. The ark has been studied quite extensively from an engineering perspective as well as from an animal management perspective, it was possible. You would need to examine the issue at length from a creationist perspective, evolutionary material includes lots of assumptions which are intended to show the impossibility of Noah's ark. Change the assumptions and it is possible.
The very knowledgable ones about this account in the Bible will probably not entertain your question. And although I am not one of those people, I know the Bible goes into detail about the dimensions of Noah's Ark. It is what it is, and is not for everyone to believe.
Many good meaning people have gone back to original languages of the Bible with the intent to find it's original texts. And there are many modern day findings that back up accounts in the Bible.
I can assure you, I am just a normal person who likes to read, sometimes the Bible. Can I prove to you that the Bible is what it says it is? Can anyone enlighten you as to have a change of heart about God? You have already given the answer to those questions.
Is it irritating that so many people ask religious questions? I have to agree with you on that one. Will people stop asking those questions? Probably not.
Will you convert them to stop believing in God? Probably not again.
Have I rambled on long enough with this response? I do respect your tenacity. Power to you.
Didn't know Noah was in the Supertanker business...did he build the Exxon Valdez?
barrydan. no my friend. 5,000 animals is not even close. i didn't make this up but researched it before even asking the question. there are up to 30,000,000 species if we include fish on earth right now. take into account how many we have made extinct in just the last 2 centuries and you get the picture.
Chouji-Von-Lycan , i have no idea where you came up with 50. there are over 50 species of canines , never mind how many different species of felines, deer, etc.
An examination of what kinds of animals were taken on Noah's Ark and how they were fit in. read more
let's see the Bible was 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. Considerably smaller than some of the cruise ships today. (dimensions from NIV). It possible there were not as many species of animals back in the Biblical days than there are today. I can't remember anything about fish being on the ark. It doesn't really say what Noah did before he built the ark. Maybe he was a fisherman and knew about building boats. But since this order came from God, if God had commanded Noah to build an ark out of cardboard, it would work since nothing is impossible with God

Why spend $100 million on a replica of Noah's Ark complete with stalls for dinosaurs? As the ark opened to receive visitors in Kentucky in July 2016 it's appropriate to ask, would it not have been a better use for the money to help feed the hungry and house the homeless?

Is the story of Noah's Ark a Myth or Truth?Think about that logically and rationally, not emotionall or spiritually.. Is the story of Noah's Ark a Myth? Can you imagine how big that boat had to be in order to house 2 each of Gods creatures? Who informed the Penguins that there was a flood...

Given that there are over a million species described how would you fit them on a boat? Even if you were to take only the mammals, you're looking at a minimum of 5000 described species - in pairs (plus all their food). Plus all the extinct species

If Noah's Ark was found how would that alter the evolution theory? Maybe a better question would be... Would the discovery alter the evolution theory?

No matter who you are, your ancestry is traced from Noah and his wife. This is where your family tree begins. Could this be Noah's Ark?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7iycpe16V0

With the recent Arctic & Siberian ice melts, do you think Noah's ark will be discovered ?
