It depends on the college and the major you choose. It's "harder" in that your professors won't hold your hand to get you to do your work - it will all be up to you. If you don't finish your work, you'll be marked down. It's fun because for many young people, it's a time to spread your wings and explore your interests, meet new people and learn new things.

If you go away to college and live on campus, it's amazingly fun. Just make sure you go to class and stay true to your studies as much as your social life. When you hit the "real world", you'll miss the freedom and carefree lifestyle of college.

Be careful. The more hours you work, the lower your grades go. That is about as simple as it gets. Otherwise it is great.

college is fun, college is tough....it depends on how you want it to be. college life brings to you new opportunities to explore and learn and also have fun by way of extra curriculars and various management and cultural fests which are there.
studies will be tough, if you do not attend the lectures and study everyday.

The first year is difficult if you live on campus - getting used to living with strangers and so on, but you get used to that pretty quickly and it's got a brilliant feeling of 'belonging'.  The workload can be a bit daunting because you have to find it all out for yourself, but if you're a fairly independent learner anyway, that becomes one of the best parts of it because you can study the bits that *you* want to study.
