What can I do to increase my intelligent naturally?

Want to know if there's really anything I can do often, to help me grow mentally, enormously.

reading makes you become a lot more intellectual without you realizing it and apparently it can be enjoyable... or so I've heard....

Spelling 'intelligence' correct, for one tongue jk
I believe omega 3 fatty acids are brain food, but I do crosswords and watch youtube. I also agree that reading helps, but thinking critically about every aspect of your day to day life is the best bet; you train your brain to think like that all the time, increasing your reaction time and quality.
    Hope I was of help!

There are times when I think my memory is not as good as it used to be... and I am pretty young so I try to do puzzles like cross words, word searches and sudokus

Above all avoid television.  The TV teaches you what to think NOT how to think. It's completely passive as a cerebral activity unless you watch documentaries which I advise. Read diverse topics and also difficult subjects, especially non-fiction.  Current events, political history, esoteric subjects.  Anything with deep concepts that require critical thinking skills and make you re-access your own ideals and beliefs. Also learning a foreign language, musical instrument, art/sculpting will unlock creativity.

Do you want to become more intelligent or more knowledgeable?  A lot of people confuse the two.  You can become more knowledgeable by reading a wide range of books, magazines, paper et cetera.   The subconscious mind will do the internal sorting and you'll find yourself being able to access a wide variety of subject matter from your memory more readily.   People will then quite mistakedly think you're more intelligent.   Oh, and you'll likely be far more creative, being able to put together ideas from a greater number of base resources.

Intelligence?   Well, if you decide you will go ahead with a lifetime learning program....that's intelligent!

Intelligence...that's it! You got all you're going to get at birth.  However, increasing your intellectual capacity and knowledge is another matter altogether.  You can do puzzles, read, exercise (research shows regeneration and growth of neurotransmitters occur because of aerobic exercise), get plenty of sleep, eat nutritious foods and talk.  Discussions really get the synapses snapping because you need to transfer information and skills.  I don't mean talking about the latest episode of your favourite sitcom, unless of course it's the Big Bang Theory, then it supplies ample material for an intellectual discussion.  Get to it - run to the nearest book shop while eating steamed broccoli to learn more about sleep patterns and how puzzles before bed may keep the synapses sparking.

I think reading a lot and being involved with the world - watching the news, getting the papers, talking to people - widens your horizons and increases your knowledge.  Doing lots of IQ tests improves your ability to ... take IQ tests :+)

    Hello,

The brain can be thought of as similar to a muscle in that the phrase 'use it or lose it' also applies.
The more you use your brain i.e. by reading challenging books and reaching to understand them the more connections will be formed in your brain between neurons. Therefore your brain will become more efficient and intelligent.

There are many memory techniques that you can find on the web that wil DRASTICALLY improve how easily you store things you have read or things that people say to you.

Also eating right and taking fish oil and vitamins will definately help.
Drink lots of water throughout the day.
