Yes... which is in part why I do not use my real name to write under. I wrote a hub about an odd situations which happened awhile back here on Hub Pages. As far as Cyber Stalkers are concerned, there are laws that have made online stalking illegal, if someone is just giving you the creeps...trust your gut. Even if they have not crossed any lines, keep away from them as much as possible, avoid the chat groups, change your profile/name/picture, cancel your account, contact the appropriate site personnel and let them know what is going on, if needed call the police. Keep the information you share, even if personal, non-specific (Names, Exact Locations, ETC)... Cyber Space is a whole new world for sick minds to torment people- and we have to learn how to live watching our backs, just as if we were walking to our cars in a dark parking lot late at night... Dark Corners are Everywhere....

Yes and it has ruined our lives and reputations.  Now we are receiving death threats by email by this person.  He started a blog which has totally false information and is very one sided.  We have been advised not to contact this person, yes we know who it is.

Did you know that some blogs, blogger and word press, will not remove any defamatory reports, even though this guy published passport numbers, home address and also bank account details, unless you get a court order.  Basically you can live where ever you like and do a blog, which is owned by the US and ruin lives.  Our only defense is to write our story of events, which we are doing at present.  Our stalker is a malicious breed of person who uses every key stroke to defame us.

The name of our book is Framed, Shamed and Defamed and is published as a series of chapters.  One day it may be a condensed novel to buy.  We have even taken a safety precaution of backing up all our information onto a disc, which goes back over 3 years, and sent it onto a friend in the case of something happening to us.

We are in hiding at present but our own federal police and other government bodies know of the situation.  If you want to know more you will need to go and check out the hub.

My crime is that I became quite a public profile in the country that I was living in and a great source to target.

We still have our health and ability to write and we are determined to get our story out.  This cyber stalker thinks he has won with his ugly threats and blogs, but I think he is a very sick person in need of help.

What the outcome will be of this whole debacle I suppose will be told in time.
