Some ads pay for views rather than clicks. Google may choose to show a CPM (cost per thousand [impressions]) ad instead of a pay per click.
On Google Adsense network of advertisers, there are some advertising that is completely based on impressions and not clicks. You will also have it the other way around too- paid clicks and not paid for impressions.
Impressions pay too. Most of the times the CPM rate is much lower than CPC.
Average Maximum CPC tends to range between $3 and $5 for most niches, which is why advertisers love to pay CPM over CPC.

First off, I reached 1/2 of my payout today, so that is very exciting! Thank you all for the advice so far, but I am in need of more. I am a little concerned, because I earned from two clicks this morning from a very low traffic hub. I thought that was really weird when I saw how much I had earned...

My adsense earnings have reduced from dollars to only a few cents per month. Revenue used to average about 40 cents per click, now it is only one or two cents per click, if there is any click at all. Just wondering if it is the same for everyone.

I notice i might get 20 cents for one click. If i could somehow get more clicks my revenue would go up considerably. What should I do with my adsense settings such as color of text and should i...
