The question re: sending an excel spreadsheet follows, etc. Thank you.

Hello, I have an excel spreadsheet that I attached to an email in google chrome .  I now find out it has to be sent from Microsoft.  I went to send to, put in the info they asked for, sent it to my email to test it.  Nothing happened.  So my questions are:  how do I forward an excel spreadsheet and why wouldn't the person accept the spreadsheet as an attachment from google chrome? I hope you have the answers.  Thanks very much.

If the spreadsheet is attached to an unknown email then it would not be accepted because of the risk of viruses. Not sure why it doesn't work on Chrome. Try another browser.

Sending excel spreadsheet from any email, from any browser will not be an issue. T

Few things are not clear in your Q :

    >>I attached to an email in google chrome

I understand you are using Chrome browser and to send email. Need to know Which email software your are using? Gmail or any other mail software.

    >>it has to be sent from Microsoft

I don't understand this and there is some problem here. (Are you trying to say it has to be sent from Microsoft IE ? )

    >>I went to sent to .....

From where ?? or From which ? Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoomail or any other mail client.

    >>why wouldn't the person accept the spreadsheet ......

Did the recipient receive the mail ? That means you are able to send mail and only the attachment is problem ?

The problem could be, your system is infected with virus, already corrupted your file and your sender is not sble to download it because it is infected with a virus ?

Please give more specific details on the issue faced. Will try to resolve the issue.

to add to msivakumar's answer, one other possibility on if the recipient received the email and can't open the attachment, it could be something as simple as wrong format of excel. If you have excel 2007 and he has excel 2003, he won't be able to open up the .xlsx file.  You would then have to save the spreadsheet in compatibility mode just to make sure.
