What is a misinterpreted event in history?
Or your opinion of one that you feel has been misinterpreted. For instance for the longest time dinosaurs were thought to be only of the reptilian species, now we know that they were warm and cold blooded dinosaurs and some even are more closely related to birds, like the T-Rex for example.
In one sense the "whole" of History might be a misinterpretation. We don't know for sure, because we haven't "seen" and "heard" it. We rely on research, which relies on lot of secondary data like books, scriptures, literature - which itself might be questionable in nature.
Columbus Day. Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. oh Tooth Fairy~ They never happened. Blessings
The arrival of the three wise men, who came to see Jesus. This scene is played out so often, where Jesus is presented as a baby in the manger. Looking carefully at Bible accounts such as Matthew 2:1-12, astrologers were sent by King Herod, who wanted to find Jesus, so that he could have him killed. A star they had seen in the East, directed them to a house where the child and his mother Mary was. This star had to be placed by an enemy of Jesus because it first led the astrologers to Herod, who clearly wanted to destroy Jesus. After the astrologers gave gifts to the child, who was not an infant, they left. Almighty God intervened to keep these men from returning to Herod, who wanted Jesus location, so he could destroy the child. God caused the astrologers to have a divine dream, which forced them not to return to King Herod, but to go to their country another way. God's enemy clearly is Satan and this was one of the many ways, the devil tried to eliminate the fulfillment of Micah 5:2, concerning our Lord and savior.

Why not god telling which book to follow when human kind reach age of let's say 18? Is not that will solve all the major conflict going on in the world now?
