I don't think you'll ever get them to all go for good with anything other than maybe age. I tried everything when i was younger and nothing worked until the day i gave up...i washed my face well with water only; daily; and other than that i didn't touch my face. warm water will open the pores, if you moisturise always splash your face with cold water first. but i'd suggest not to use any products. chromium, zinc, vit A and vit E and similar supplements will all help. I have to say though, that I once tried PROACTIVE and that was actually almost as good as it claimed to be. I just didn't trust it with all that it contained.

    Hi Ash,

I don't know of a single pill that will do what you are hoping for.

I would read my hub page on acne and take that approach if it were me.

    Hey,

I know that this may not be the kind of answer you are looking for, but I have a cheap and easy solution to pimples if the ointments are not cutting it and the pills are too expensive:
    1. If you feel a pimple coming, put ice on it for about ten minutes. This kills off the bacteria of the acne and reduces the swelling of it. It is almost guaranteed by the next day that the acne bump/mark will be reducing in size and disappearing.
    2. If the pimple is already there, use a little bit of Neosporin (or the generic brand antibacterial ointment). If you dab a little bit on before bed in a day or two it will completely vanish. It fights the bacteria and also helps with preventing red marking and any scabbing (if you happen to be someone that picks at your acne).

    Hope this helps you!

If you have insurance you can got to your dermatologist to get a prescription for accutane. I am on it right now, it's supposed to shrink your sebaceous glands to avoid the over production of sebum (what causes acne and pimples) This will give you worse pimples before it gets better but the results are permanent. This is specially for stubborn pimples that don't work with any other pills or creams. You should go to a derm first, you can't auto-medicate yourself because it's dangerous.
