Are your hubpages emails really late, or is it my email provider?

Sometimes my emails take hours to tell me that someone published a new hub.  My twitter alerts are kind of slow too, so it could be my yahoo email.

They are quite late sometimes, but I don't grumble due to the amounts of reports besides emails they have to send out anyway.

I haven’t had an email in days about comments to my own hubs. The other emails I get are sporadic - sometimes I get one to say I’ve a new follower, but as often it doesn’t come. And when I’ve left a comment on someone else’s hub, I get emails about women follow-up comments and not others. This has been going on for several days.  I’m not with yahoo, so it’s not that, but I have no idea what is the cause.

I haven't noticed having this problem. As far as I can tell, my Hubpage emails are on time. You may want to clean out your "cache". That can help to speed things up. I would say that because your twitter alerts are slow, it's most likely either your computer or yahoo email.

Also, you might want to run a security check for viruses.  It's been my experience that if I have a viruse, it slows and fouls up everything!

I wish you good luck and I sincerely hope that my answer has been useful for you.

I notice i get mine later, but I put it down to time frame. HP is in US, I am in UK.  I don't  even know how they get the time to collate all the info.
    They give brilliant updates.

Either that or it's your email provider.

It happens to me all the time too. It's funny sometimes that way after I have read and commented that the email would show up..lol

Have you checked to see how often your email program checks for new mail?

I've been having the same problem. Sometimes my hub emails don't even show up till the end of the day.

A couple of days ago my e-mails from Hub Pages didn't turn up, but that seems to have sorted itself out okay now. I'm in the UK, and as HP is in the US, I really just accept that e-mails will arrive at odd times or later. But if you do have problems with your e-mail provider, then yes it can cause quite a few problems with e-mails being late and so on.

My emails are really late too, about 24 hours later than they usually are.  I'm not on Yahoo, so it must be a glitch with HubPages.

Yeah, I am glad to see someone else with this question.  There are times that my email come 24 hours late, by that time I have already approved comments or whatever else it may be smile
