Is the US Government overreacting when it comes to Iran?
A reaction requires an action. What action has Iran done to provoke any sort of reaction from the US? They tried to build a nuclear reactor? They give money to Palestine? We do those things as well. The nation has some religious zealots? So does ours. We are far more capable than Iran of anything.
Iran was always a great prize, first controlled by the British, and then controlled by the US. In the 1970s, US hegemony in Iran was overthrown. We have wanted to get Iran back since that time.
The US takes quite a beating when it comes to international affairs. Part of that is because the US has to always be in the middle of everything. Kind of like controlling family members! The current issue with Iran is the murder of the scientist. Somehow, someone was able to place a bomb that ultimately took the life of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan. We can look back on 911 to get some answers... The US was not diligent in protecting New York City from terrorist attack. Huge efforts have gone into protecting this country from further attacks. Iran, and the rest of the middle east, baske in their bombings and terrorist activities. It is a way of life for them. The US always over-reacts. They have claimed no involvement in the bombing. We will always be accused. However, some things just don't warrant a response. If we mind our own business and let Iran implode, we won't have to react anymore at all! Iran has to pull itself up by the bootstraps and put a stop to its own violence. Then Iran will have the leg to stand on in blaming others.
Cautious, perhaps, lenient, yes, over reacting.............NO, the USofA, does not over react...........she most often, fails to react. The cost is our soldiers..........we send them in, not on the offensive, but the defensive.

& what do you think about Julian Assange? Do you appreciate what he is doing or is it the opposite? Is he the main man or just another pawn, playing the role of a show man? I did not knw much about him until recently & I personally felt that the rape charges were side effects of his actions...
