The short answer should be - back off.

An attack on Iran would almost certainly lead to a wider regional and then global conflict. Muslims throughout the Middle East are not just going to sit around and do nothing until it is their turn to be attacked by the West. They will act and those that live in countries with pro-western regimes will rise up and depose their own governments first.

Think about what happened in Iraq - the West won the war and then lost the peace - with more troops being killed after the war had supposedly been won.

Now take that scenario and scale it up so that it encompasses the populations of all the Arab nations. The manpower required to occupy and subjugate such a mass of people will be enormous. The West would have to stay on a war footing: with martial law in place and domestic populations virtually enslaved to serve the war machine, for generations to come - or until the oil runs out.

The consequences of such an attack are unthinkable - many millions will die as a result of this war should it happen.

What price then a litre of petrol?

America should simply ignore Iran. Iran and N. Korea are simply playing "Nuclear Politics". They derive strength from the Nuclear game and defiance of the US. Recently, they called for discussion only to refuse to cooperate with those they invite. The Life-style of the Iranians shows that they love life, as such, why do we have to bother?

nothing. the U.S. has nukes so why shouldn't everyone else be allowed to. keep messing with iran and north korea and it's going to end in a massive blood bath. i don't like the idea of anyone having nukes but the u.s. is the only country that has use weapons of such strength. telling others they can't have them is absurd.

I Love USA......The moto of USA is "In God We Trust". So I would say leave Iran alone and look after your own people. That would be good for all the Americans. We all need America to prosper more and more. And even it's effects us too(Asians). I love to see America a much more blessed nation. Why shoul USA waste their money in vein? God Bless America!

Iran claims its making nukes for nuclear energy -i believe they are making nuke for attacks against the USA(+its m-east allies) and wiping isreal off the map

It's not so much what America wants it's what Isreal wants.  If you asked Barry whether he wanted to bomb Iran and he'd probably tell you no. But, if his bosses in Isreal and in the Banking Community want Iran bombed Iran will most likely be bombed. They just need something big to blame on Iran to boost support.

@dexixy - That's why the missle shield will shoot down any attempt that they try. I cannot be concerned with lunatics and any action they attempt will be met with harsh retaliation from either us or Israel, which has done air strikes in Iran before.

Ho do you feel about Iran getting nuclear technology?  It scares me.  No matter what anybody says, the world would be a more dangerous place if that happened.  Under NO circumstances, can Iran have nuclear technology.  It would be like North Korea all over again, if not worse.
