Do you notice what other people are wearing?

I was just having a conversation with a friend, who was saying how shocking she thought it was that another friend was wearing such a short skirt to a children's event that we went to.  Then when I told he that I hadn't noticed what she'd been wearing, and that I don't generally notice this about people, she was shocked at me!!

I don't generally pay attention or care what my friends are wearing, I'm more interested in what they're saying and doing.  Is this unusual?

That is not unusual. I also don't care about what other people wear. Sometimes I am just amused how other people can just wear a short and sleeveless during winter!!

I usually notice what people are wearing, especially my friends.  Like@prettydarkhorse said, I find it funny when people where shorts and sleeveless shirts in the middle of winter!

Yes, some times i will watch others dress. Dressing is a code, that shows the mind and culture of wearer.

You're fine.  There's nothing wrong with you.  We are not all motivated by the same issues.  Some people are visual and they (like your friend) make good observers.  I'm auditory so like you, I wouldn't have noticed the outfit either, but I would remember the conversation. It takes all kinds to make a world, the saying goes.

I think you are better off.  I am very visual and notice everything about people such as what they are wearing and their body language, sometimes I think I would be better off tuning it out.  We are all different.

That's human nature to look at one another's clothes. We tend to size up and make judgement calls based on wardrobe, not that I agree on judging others merely by externals, but it is just typical and almost a reflex to look at what others are wearing. If is wasn't true, we wouldn't spend hours in front of the mirror, making sure we make the right impression. Like me, you are a member of the human race and a woman so that makes very sensitive to the wardrobes around you.

I do notice what other people are wearing, but it really doesn't register with me unless it's shocking or unhygienic.

I like to wear mostly dark colors, with no patterns, pictures or slogans, so I love it when I see people wearing bright clothes!

I can't help but read any message shirt that I see.  Message shirts can be funny, but I don't care for advertisements all over clothing.  I can't stop my brain from reading any printed words.

I enjoy seeing different styles, and am not bothered by facial piercings, tattoos, or outrageous clothes.  However, the one thing I always fixate on is when I see a woman walking in heels so high that her gait is stiff and careful and her whole body seems to be in pain.
