      Human nature I guess but its our choice. I try not to to the same thing everyday as I enjoy variety but visiting HP has to be every day.

    Because of our "comfort zone" that gives us a sense of security. Time to walk instead of taking the bus, read a book instead of watching TV and send warm greetings to a total stranger..

    i have to shower two people every morning, who cannot hardly move,and not enough staff to help, wish i could break from that routine

    It's part of the human condition, seen in extreme form in OCD and Autism.  Doing new things opens up new pathways in the brain, which is uncomfortable for many, especially introverted types.
