My husband is a good poet. Do you think he should publish his poems?

Hi everyone. I have recently published a small book of my poems on Amazon and Createspace (please see my profile for more info if you are interested).  My husband is a much better poet than I am. I was wondering if I should ask him to publish his works? I know that poetry lovers will really enjoy his work.

Why not, Some of the greatest ones are couples that both write and publish! smile

Of course he should. Many hubbers would love to read his work I'm sure. No poet should hide his/her work. Why? is poetry not to be shared for all to enjoy. Good luck have fun.

Definitely! Poetry comes to life when it roams the lives of others smile

Sharing his works would be great not only for the readers but for him as well. But honestly, I am not sure if HubPages is the best place to publish his poems. You know how strict the staff is when it comes to duplicate issues. That means he may not publish his poems elsewhere. As far as I know, this is how things work here. If not, maybe others can discuss this matter further.

You could also try Lulu.com or "digital text platform" [which belongs to Amazon].

I hope he does as it would do a lot of good. Yet some people only do their hobbies because they like them, not for money. Even if it's no trouble, some still prefer to keep their works to themselves ^^

He should think about it. Some people write just to write and have no intentions of publishing or even posting their work though.

Yes I think if he enjoys writing he should share his work.  In that way we can enjoy it to.

I believe if God gives anyone a talent they should use it and spread it far and wide.  Yes, by all means, I think he should publish his poems.  The Bible reads not to hide your Light under a bushel basket, and to let your Light shine before men.  Your husband has poetry inside him wanting to come out.  Publishing his poems is manifesting his Light to others.  I wish him the very best, and you, too!
    Blessings, Sparklea smile

Of course he should publish. Poetry is a beautiful art form and should be shared and admired.

Don't pressurize him to publish. Let him do it at his will. Of course it is always better if a poet floats his poems to face the tides of criticism, which enriches and inspires the poet himself.
