Yes.  I think it's a good thing for children and teachers to be able to take some down time and celebrate.  I don't think parties should be a daily occurrence but something special the children can look forward to.  It helps them socially and educationally as they spend so much time in school it shouldn't always be a tough place to be but a place they can relate to and look forward to special moments.

Yes. Schools should have holiday parties, because it doesn't matter what religion you are the season is still the same. If the school is going to be on vacation for that holiday season, which is a form of celebration, why should there not be a party before break? It isn't requiring anyone to change their beliefs or religion, but come together as a school/community and make friends and be social. It is preparing children for adulthood by teaching them the skills they need to learn in group situations both formal and informal.

Certainly yes. Schools should have holiday parties. I totally agree with DarkMuse13...religion doesn't matter when it comes to celebrating.

I remember celebrating Christmas in school (that was thirty five years ago!) before the Christmas holidays began, singing hymns and lighting candles. I belong to another religion but it didn't matter at all.

It was fun time all the way celebrating Christmas in school with friends. In fact, we used to look forward to those times every year.

Holiday parties in school give the students and the staff a feeling of oneness and belonging.
