Do white women clutch their purse when they walk past other white people?
This is an interesting question.
The answer is yes I do if they are young white guys or girls that look yobbish. This is of course all in the eye and mind of the person looking. The media has made us frightened of our own shadow, with stories of how mobs of young tear-aways attack people.
The truth is I don't think attacks on strangers is that common. The media has hyped us up into a paranoid society and we lap it up like a hungry dog. Why do we, as a society, want to hear about the horrible things that happen and not the millions of wonderful caring interactions that go on between strangers?
Food for thought.
@ Blond Logic. It's not the media. Where did you get that? Jesse Jackson said way back in the day that when he's out in a dark area he's constantly looking over his shoulder and breathes a sigh of relief when he see's it's a white person. In one of Chris Rock's stand up routine's he said when he's at an ATM he's not looking over his shoulder for the media. He said he's looking for black men.
Politically correct philosophy is dangerous and suicidal. @ Snobbycollegegrad: Stop judging white people so harshly. Some day you'll get older and not immortal. You'll have to look after the ones you love and political correctness, unless you're as wealthy as those who espouse this philosophy from their all-white gated communities on the hill, will be a luxury you can't afford.
@MickS BECAUSE I WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER. Racism has nothing to do with it on MY part. I've had several white women clutch their purse and look at me like I was going to rob them when I politely spoke. Not ALL white women do it to me but a good amount have. Answer the question or get lost. This question wasn't meant to offend. I really want to know the answer, and @Blond Logic I love your answer, that's better than "no we just do it to black people"
@MickS again, BTW I don't look like a thug, I usually wear business suits, because I'm a Financial Advisor. So please don't assume its because of my appearance. You're ignorant if you think discrimination and racism doesn't exist.

In today's world, this question will be treated with anger and hostility, accusations of xenophobia and white supremacist will come my way I'm sure. But that's not my arguement. Its simply one of, we, as a society, are so eager to please minorities and be politically correct about everything that...
