What are the Alternatives to Outsourcing Overseas?
What are the Alternatives to outsourcing overseas if we wish to keep jobs in the west? With so many companies offshoring their production and services to countries such as China, Pakistan and India we are reducing employment and the amount of value we create for our economy.
Many companies in my mind are taking a very short sighted view with regards to increasing profits and I personally do not believe that outsourcing is a sustainable way to do this. Costs of production and services overseas will increase and erode any cost savings a company will have made.
Use outsourcing companies that operate within the United States, such as TeleDirect: http://www.teledirect.com/
i am an Indian, i can understand your feelings. At present we are the part of outsourcing and it is our livelihood here.It is not a long term provision, one day it will vanish, fierce competition in global market is the cause and newly emerging economies offers product at low cost ,advanced economies in the west just could not compete and then outsourcing is the way to survive instead closing a shop.
There are many key areas where West could dominate and maintain their lead
but consumer items and services ,this sector will continue outsourcing because wages and benefits in the west are high comparing to developing nations.
I think the reason outsourcing has become so popular is because it helps generate income for small businesses and corporations that are being overly taxed in the US! Sometimes outsourcing is the only way to generate profit these days, especially since the cost of living has soared in line with the ailing economy. My husband and I made sure we throughly researched our options for Call Centers, since we focus on promoting affiliate products on and off-line.
We opted to go with a company called inSO. While the company is based in India, workers are trained to embrace and understand the culture in the US to help ease the communication and sales process which ultimately helps you as the business owner, in the end. If you're looking for ways to increase your bottom line, you should definitely check out: www.inso.us/call-centers-service.php
Hope this helps!
I think instead of focusing on retaining manufacturing every economy including US should focus on training her citizens for jobs in service sector.

If you were elected President in November, what would you do? We need more job training programs in this country. The first step is to...

Or put another way - Would you rather see U.S. brands closed or bought-out by foreign brands that have no problem using overseas labor?Hopefully these are some common-ground facts all can accept:1.
