salmon , cord etc any are very good, most of this fish has omega fatty acid which is good cholesterol and helps to prevent heart disease
pacific herring appears to contain the highest epa and dha levels, 1,08 g epa and 780 mg of dha in a single serving.
All types of fish contain the fabled omega 3s, even the humble cod, deep fried in batterer and served up with chips. However, the best sources are the oily fish, salmon, trout, mackrel, herring sardine, pilchard, etc. Care should be taken with the mackrel, onward as these fish also contain high purine levels and can bring on gout.
Go for lean fishes, avoid fatty fish.
Fresh Salmon, Mackerel, cod are good options as they are high in Omega 3 fatty acids which help reduce your bad cholesterol, ultimately increasing the good cholesterol.
Also check for the mercury content of the fish.
The types of fish that you can eat to help your body in the battle against a heart attack or any heart disease that comes your way.
1. Tuna – Foods that are high in omega-3 fatty acids are always a healthy choice when it comes heart disease, and tuna happens to be a good source of this particular fatty acid. Eating tuna, whether it is broiled, baked, or in a salad, will be a good defense against a heart attack.
2. Salmon – This is another fish that is high in omega-3 fatty acids, which helps against heart disease. Salmon can be consumed in a variety of different preparations, so incorporating it into a diet should not be difficult. Many Japanese diets include plenty of salmon, and on average, Japanese citizens have double the amount of omega-3 fatty acids in their bodies. Also, a Japanese resident is much less likely to suffer from a heart attack because of their diets.
3. Bluefish – This is found in nearly every climate in the world, which is good news for people that are eating it for heart disease purposes. Bluefish was at one point endangered because of overfishing. It was considered a highly prized sport fish, but populations were able to grow again after restrictions were placed on fishing them. Luckily, people can now continue to eat this fish and reduce their chance for a heart attack.
4. Herring – Another of the large number of fish that have health benefits. Eating fish should never get boring because there are so many variety of fish out there along with preparations you can use. Herring is a small fish that can be very delicious to eat, and it will be helping to prevent a heart attack at the same time.
All of the fish listed here can help to reduce the risks of heart disease or a heart attack mainly because of the omega-3 fatty acids, but eating fish as a replacement for meat from time to time will also help to keep heart disease out of your life.
