Do you think the government is overstepping Constitutional boundaries?
Do you support or oppose the recently passed legislation that requires data recorders in all new cars beginning in 2015?
To which government are you referring, this is a multinational site, as is the whole of the internet.
I am referencing the United States of America's government.
No. Interestingly enough, there is aways seems to be a good reason for the infringement on our rights. It "seems" reasonable but what it really is - is a chipping away of our freedom.
Probably 50% of what the U.S. Government does is unconstitutional. The government gets away with all sorts of illegal stuff because so many people believe that all the rules, regulations, and laws make our lives better or safer. Every thing congress and the president does has negative effects as well as any positive effects. One example: In the name of public safety we have the TSA, which is nothing more than an expensive nuisance.
These new devices are dangerous because hackers can track your car. Plus, authorities can track you without you knowing it. Imagine this: a friend of yours visits a drug dealer on a regular basis as well as your house. Your friend also has other friends in the business of selling or using drugs. This friend may ride in your car or you in his. If your friend, or anyone he associates with, were to get on the cops radar, guess who else they start following? Do you want the cops tracking you, and subsequently, all your friends? You should see that this may be well intended, but it could drag a lot of innocent people into a big mess, esp. if you're not completely innocent.
I think we are seeing ground work being laid down for global governance. There has to be a way to control the masses. The UN has been flexing there ever increasing powers and our president seems to only answer to them these days. I guess time will tell.

I watched Piers Morgan's show twice, once with Alex Jones as his guest and then again with Ben Shapiro as his guest. Both of these people believe that is necessary for citizens to have high capacity assault weapons, like AR15's to protect themselves from the eventual tyranny of their own...

I have found a kindred spirit in Joseph Mussomeli. This essay is about a Moderate's view of the political extremes of the Left and Right. It is a good read I recommend to...
