    Why do you work online?

What got you into online work and what are you hoping to get out of it?

If you are trying to earn for retirement or some large goal like a wedding, buying a house, or college, I'd like to know that as well. Where's this going to take you?

Ha! For money. Don't you think like that?

It saves me from seeing other people. After working in a fast food restaurant, it is a Godssend. I'm good at typing, formats, Word, Excel, and researching. Medical transcription gives me twice as much as working at a fast food restaurant, I have more time on my hands, it helps me make the best of my time, etc.

Well, overall for money - but in terms of why "online" specifically, I use online earnings as a supplement to my overall earnings.  The main benefit for me is that it is so flexible.  Through the various online programs I use to make money (hubpages, but also survey sites and mypoints), I can "work" when I want to or not when I don't want to. It doesn't require a large time commitment, and it is helping me with my overall goal of paying off my student loans as quickly as possible, while also advancing in my career in a field that is unfortunately not very high paying! (Yay for non-profits!).

Wow, that's sort of a loaded question. Hmm.

Originally, I started working online out of desperation. My husband's job wasn't enough and I was intent on staying at home with the kids. So, I started looking into online work. Eventually, I got into writing and stuck with it.

Then, I worked at home not just because it was monetarily rewarding, but because it was something I had come to love. I felt proud of myself, so it was great for my self esteem.

Now, I work at home for all of those reasons and because I've decided that it's my career. Not just something I do to make ends meet, but something I want to continue to do indefinitely because I love it.

Thanks for asking. It's nice to write all of that out and remember why I work so hard even with all of the frustration and stress that comes along with it sometimes.

I work online because it is a one way that  I can express myself and also impart what I have learned to others.  It is a great way to learn from others and to be part of a supportive community.

I work online because it allows me more freedom. I can work when and if I want to or take a vacation.

You are truly free to do what you want online and if it is not working for you just quit. And when you realize that you are not a slave to your business or affiliate. Only then does your business truly grow.
