Are you concerned about the drastic military cuts ordered by President Obama this past week?
Yes, very concerned, but not surprised. Mr. Obama obviously does not understand the Constitution of the United States . . . or (more likely) does not care.
Obama didn't "order" cuts in defense spending, nor can he even do so. The spending cuts in question were cuts agreed to during last year's debt ceiling negotiations. Republicans have proposed a budget which wouldn't include those defense cuts and Obama has said he would veto such a budget, though he wouldn't have to because it won't ever make it through the Senate.
As for defense cuts, they can hardly be considered drastic unless you want to be dramatic. They are only a 10% cut. Considering how poorly the Pentagon spends money, the cuts will actually probably do them some good, by forcing them to analyze and prioritize programs rather than going ahead with every little thing that comes across their desk.
If people really care about how money is spent, the Pentagon should be target #1. Republicans being so concerned about poor management in programs like Social Security and Medicare, but giving the Pentagon a free pass is ridiculous (and disingenuous).
I am not referring to the "defense spending" cuts, as I am his slashing of actual military/troop numbers -- reducing the size of our military -- I believe it goes into effect soon: read on http://vitalsignsblog.blogspot.com/2012 … bama-slash
Whether referring to equipment, men, or budget, there isn't any proposed cuts much higher than 10%. That such a cut could somehow lead to anything "drastic" just doesn't make any sense. Shifting priorities maybe, but not the end of the world.
The cuts are necessary but I don't know if it was done in the right time. This is a game of numbers and I believe it has something to do with politics to gain the favor of some voters.

Should America be concerned about hacked emails if Russia is involved?I'm asking this because I have read the leaked emails but I am curious as to why there aren't any leaked Republican emails if this is not biased information. Also since this has never happened in our country's history,...
