   Why iz mour and mour hubbberz not speking good inglish?
   
   I am actually very serious, the level of english on Hubpages seems to have fallen dramatically of late. Or am I just imagining things?

   Because hub pages, and many of the people who answer their questions accomodate their appaling English, and so they see no reason to to improve.
   An example is the next question to this.

   Hub Pages is accessible to people from non-English speaking countries, many who perhaps practice their English skills on writing platforms such as Hub Pages.
   
   Although you would think that Hub Page's staff would not want low quality Hubs published.

      Being a non-English as first language isn't an excuse.  This isn't an educatioonal establishment.  Iff they can't wtite the language reasonably sensibly, go to night school to learn how to write without all the extra inclusion of does and is.

   This is what happens when you grow up in a chatroom, travel with an iPhone and all your friends and relatives can be found on FB. I have to agree, but it isn't limited to just HubPages. This has been going on for years, that the current Y gen falls back to 'internet lingo' even on their resumes.

   Hub Pages in international. 
   
   Frankly, I find it refreshing (and admirable!) that people who do not have English as their first - and most fluent - language would attempt (and maybe even "struggle") to use English in their Hubbing.   I'll do my darndest to decipher what they've written... and may their English improve every day, if that's what they want!!!!!

      I agree. Writing hubs in a language other than your first language would be a challenge. I for one wouldn't be able to do so.

      I think given the amount of 'non-english' speakers for HubPages to expand and create one in a different language. It may be in the works. Search engines do it, and so do plenty of other sites. I'm sure its just a matter of time.

   I think there many reasons like ackman1465 and WebsiteConfetti said there the fact that hubpages is an international website that is accessible to non-native speaker (like me).
   There a bit of what gabgirl12 said too, we tend to write like we do in the chat room, facebook or on our iphone, when we are online, we don't write like we write an essay at school.
   Hubpages policy for grammars is pretty loose compare to other site like ezine.
   Probably that some hubber don't even bother to run a spell checker on their hubs  or have someone proofread it.
   Perhaps if they have a more strict policy or a kind of buddy system where native speaker could proofread hub before there publish and get some kind of reward doing that.

      I think that's a great idea of having a 'buddy system.'  Anything that encourages writers from all parts of the world is a good thing. The diversity of writers is what I love most about Hub Pages.
