When should you delete a hub?
If you have a hub that is not generating significant traffic and is rated in the low 70s, should it be deleted? The topic is not evergreen.
I think you ought to give it at least 6 months to gain some traction (unless it was meant to catch a trend that has now died off). Have you tried updating it and tweaking the keywords? Maybe add a summary if you don't have one. Writing takes a lot of time and energy, so personally I wouldn't delete anything unless I was ABSOLUTELY sure it was a dud.
Brainy, John Greasy & Dawn, thanks for the advice. It is a hub about Tim Tebow getting the ax for Peyton Manning. I didn't really think of it being dated when I wrote it. I will try to update the material to see if that helps. I was just worri
This was a bit misleading, seeing as I thought this was a general question rather than a money-making one. You don't really need to delete Hubs unless they're just taking up room in your portfolio / list of Hubs created. Further more, a lot of Hubs contain LOADS of information that is useful to many people, but just don't get that high a score. The HubScore really shouldn't affect deletion or preservation, because it's that unpredictable.
For example, I made a review on a game called GRAW. It started in the 50s zone, and took around two weeks to enter the sixties. However, an article that isn't even half that size and is currently in production is rated 65 in counting. This has only been made yesterday, so the argument of "letting Hubs age / simmer" is out the window already.
All in all, you don't need to worry about scores or traffic. Remember quality over quantity, and get rid of the stuff you REALLY don't need.
It is not a "bad" hub, just not evergreen and is now kind of dated material. I was just worried it would bring my overall hub score down because it was a dud.
No If i will be in such a situation i won't delete that hub. Even i will prefer not to delete any hub of mine. Will try to make it larger ,edit and it will get traffic because of my hard work.

I would never delete any of my hubs. I put the time and effort into writing them, why delete them? You may not know it, but you might have some hard to find information in some hubs that could be very useful to some people. Those hubs may not get a lot of attention, but some people may be very thankful that you wrote them.
I have been writing on HubPages for more than 3 years. Recently, I deleted about 15-20 hubs that were either poorly written (some of my earliest) and/or those that simply did not get traffic and I was not interested in revising them, due to subject matter, etc.
I agree with others' views that you should give it some time before deleting. I don't think that I have ever deleted a hub that was less than 2 years old.
I already deleted 12 hubs of mine and that's because I know they weren't written well enough. I'm sure I won't be deleting any more though as all my new hubs are going to be top notch!
No one can direct you as to when you need to delete a hub, give it a chance and you'll never know.

Some people say you should never, ever delete a hub...only edit it and such. What makes you just completely trash your own hubs?

How many times do you edit an idled Hub before deleting it? Or do you keep it idled so that links to it are still good? Also, for what reasons do you either leave it idled or delete it or still try to fix it? I have one Hub which I've edited a few times, and this last time after I edited it, it...

In a forum I read recently someone commented that Google looks down on your subdomain if it contains many poor articles. But how do I tell which is considered poor? Can I tell by hubscore? Some of my hubs are in the 60s, but have thousands of page views and others with fewer views are scored much...
