Is it possible to make ice-cream at home without an ice-cream maker machine?
I am looking for a way to make ice-cream, the old-fashioned way, without using an ice-cream maker machine....
Yes you can. Use whatever you recipe that catches your attention, and when the mixture is blended put it in the freezer, but you have to mix it every 15-20 minutes until it's frozen. But it's likely to be very hard ice cream when it's frozen.
As a side note, depending on the mixture you use, the fat and air bubble content will dictate the softness of the ice cream after it's been frozen. Fat doesn't really freeze, and when it's mixed tiny air bubbles that are produces from the whipping of the ice cream machine you should get lovely soft, whipped ice cream!
I have written a hub about how to make frozen yogurt, ice cream is pretty similar. You can check it out....
We like to make soft serve ice cream using our Ninja. We use frozen strawberries (or any other frozen fruit), heavy cream, and a little bit of honey and blend it until it is smooth. It will have a soft serve consistency.
