Which are the best revenue sharing sites for writers?

What are the best places to earn, doing that which we love best?

Right now, I make most of my income from working at Elance. There I find that I can get paid right then and there after a writing job has been completed as opposed to waiting for the page views and/or clicks on ads of my blog. But then, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

    Regards,

Personally I love Squidoo. So far I've made my payout every month (which I think I set to $5). They give you half the commission if someone buys an Amazon product after clicking a link in your lens, plus your share of the text links and other ad revenue. Their payouts are 2 months off, so I just received my April earnings, which were about $5, but my first payout a few months ago was a whopping $40 because somebody bought the really expensive cookware I wrote about. There are definitely writers who make a living just from Squidoo same as those who make a living from HubPages. The trick seems to be knowing what to write about and regularly updating your lenses.

Other than Squidoo and HubPages, I haven't tried any other revenue-sharing sites.

I have used Squidoo too, but don't  make much from the actual site. However, I've pointed readers to affiliate products and have received over $1,000 from clickbank over the last 2 years because of 2 of my lenses.

over the last week on interactmedia.com I've made over $30, working only a couple hours each of my "off" days from my part time job, I'm kind of sold.  It's writing copy, something I'd never done before, but I've already gotten up to 5 stars (highest rating), so it's nothing too horrible.

I mean, I like hubpages, but they're not paying what I thought they'd be paying, it's gonna take me a LONG time before I reach that first $50 they wait until you get before paying you.

Edit: that's probably not what you're looking for, but I thought it was a good point to make, sorry smile

I have been doing some fairly intensive market research into a lot of this and have come to the conclusion of diversifying. Work through as many sites as you can. It is hard work with blogging as it has become saturated. Hubs are self contained.

Squidoo, Helium, triond, and a few others are great places to make money for revenue, Helium is the best of all and Hubpages is pretty good as well.
