   Has anyone had any luck with WebAnswers?
   
   I heard this is another way to make money similar to HubPages except you just answer questions. Can anyone provide actual numbers on earnings, and maybe compare them to your HubPages earnings?

   Not me. But I wasn't able to devote a lot of time to it, and quickly became disinterested. It was a lot of writing for no reward--and I don't mean financially--I took the time to write many, very detailed and helpful answers with no response or 'thumbs up' from anyone. Waste of my time IMHO.

      That's interesting. I wonder if it's worth it to write long, thoughtful answers as the ads displayed will be the same either way. I'm trying it out now!

      I have to agree. I was on the site but spent a lot of time on the answers and did not feel it was worth my time. It might be worth it if you were the only person answering in a category but I find it unlikely.

      Yes, it seems like people on HubPages are more concerned with content whereas people are trying to use WebAnswers for money. Most questions have at like 5 duplicate answers so it gets kind of hectic.

   I use Web Answers. It gives me about $1 per day. I reckon I could earn a lot more there if I answered more questions. I average around five per day at the moment.
   The best way to do it is to go for questions you know the answers to. I like the history ones. Then answer as many unanswered ones as you can. If they are duplicates just give the same answers, but vary the wording.
   Use plenty of keywords and you will get loads of traffic to your answers. If you give better quality answers, you get more valuable ads.

      That's not bad, I mean how long does it take to answer 5 questions? $1 a day is $30 a month... way more than I'm getting on HubPages right now.

   I joined then did nothing. It appears that you have to answer at least 50 questions to begin with. The trick is, if your answer is not chosen to be the number one answer, then you get zip. This is the way I understand it.

      I think that is wrong. You do have to answer 50 to get started but you get paid for ads on all of your answers, you just get more if you are awarded the best answer.

      Hi, i was also concerned and confused by this when i first joined. However, i decided to give the first 50 answers a shot anyway. Turns out they do NOT need to be awarded after all, which is a huge relief. So go ahead and post away!

   I'm on WebAnswers, and I'm averaging about $50 per month there.  (I actually have a hub comparing my earnings between WebAnswers and HubPages.)  Personally, I think it's a great way to make money - the fastest and easiest I've found thus far.  (I was earning money there within a week.)
   
   First of all, you do have to answer 50 questions first.  At that point, you'll receive an invitation to either link with your AdSense account or register for one.  You get paid to ask and answer questions.  A person who asks a question has the ability to award a "best answer."  If you are awarded the best answer, you are the only person who will earn revenue for that question from that point forward.  However, unless and until a best answer is awarded, the revenue earned is split between the person asking the question and those who answered.
   
   There is no time limit on how long a question may remain open with a "best answer" being awarded.  In fact, many questions are several years old and have never been awarded.  Moreover, some questions are "bot" questions (i.e., questions that were automatically generated based on topics people were searching for online) and those questions will never be awarded.
   
   In short, you don't have to receive a "best answer" award in order to earn money on the site.  Also, there is an algorithm that computes a "quality score" for you  that also affects your earnings.  Some tips for having a good quality score include:  Try to give answers in complete sentences; avoid one-word answers. Watch your spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc.  Focus on the quality of the answers you are providing and not just quantity (or length) of responses. 
   
   The long and short of it is that I've found it to be a good place to earn.  I would argue that you should give it a try, and if you aren't earning in a week or two (assuming you've answered the 50 questions) then you can walk away.

      Very good points. About how many questions do you ask per day? I answered 20 questions yesterday in about an hour so it seems like easy money to be based on the earnings I hear. Are you having any luck here on HubPages?

      I usually answer 10-20 per day. However, earlier this year I wen t an entire month only answering about 3 per day and my earnings still increased from the month before.  I'm doing well on Hubpages - about $40 per month.

      I believe it's better to answer questions.  That gives you an opportunity to be awarded "best answer," thereby earning on that question into perpetuity.

      To distinguish earnings from various sites/domains, go to the AdSense home page and click on the "My ads" button near the top.  When the new page comes up, you should see a button that says "+ New URL channel."  Click it and add the requisite URL.
