What do you do when you get a comment and the person posting leaves his/her e-mail to be contacted?
I do not want the world to see their e-mail!
Personally I would deny the comment, then post a comment addressing why I did so, inviting them to repost without their email address.
I wouldn't Approve the comment, but I would e-mail them and ask them to edit their own comment?
Well, that's their choice if they wish to provide their email address and make it public. If they get spammed, that's their responsibility. More often than not, people have several email addresses, and use some to leave comments on websites or sign up - it might not be one of their most important email address... hopefully.
One thing I am very cautious about is approving comments with street addresses. I don't approve these. That's probably far more dangerous.
One course of action would be to copy and paste the comment into the email and ask them if they still wanted to submit the comment with their email in it. By saving the comment in this way, they won't need to go through the trouble of writing another thought-provoking insight. Sometimes people are not Internet savvy and a little consideration from a fellow Hubber can be a good thing.
However, that may not be the way to go. Many years ago I worked at a grocery store. A lady left her car headlights on. I "helped" by informing her of her oversight and she was appreciative.
A week later she did the same thing. I realized she had learned nothing from our encounter, so when she came out from shopping, she needed a jump. I bet that was the last time she left her lights on.
Sometimes natural consequences are more helpful than anything we can do.

I just noticed this. Is it new or has it always been there? What would be the reason for this posting?

This has probably been addressed elsewhere but I haven't found the answer yet. Is it ok to post a link to your own hub in the comments section to someone else's hub on the same or similar subject? I just found such a post in a comment on one of my hubs and don't know whether its a good...

I have been experiencing problems trying to post comments. When I finish writing the comment it doesn't post and the screen returns to the top of the hub. Anyone in my boat?

Loving Hub Pages and so far loving most of the Hubbers I've come across. Sometimes, I'd like to contact a Hubber in private to comment on a hub without leaving an actual comment (ie. about spelling errors, suggestions, etc.) or ask a question or whatever, but I'm not comfortable...
